Dromore Villa F.C. was founded in 1982 by Paddy Browne, who remained the main driving force behind the club until the mid 90’s. He is still involved in the Club as its President to this day. We have played in St Farnan's Community Park since we started and have enjoyed many happy days there. St Farnan’s Community Park is currently being redeveloped, we are actively involved in this development and the work is currently progressing very well. We are looking forward to be back playing there for the start of the 2011/2012 season. 



For the moment we are renting a pitch in Dooneal, Dromore West and we are very thankful to the landowners for the use of this field. We have developed the club over the years having started out with a Junior Team we now also have boys and girls teams from age 6 years up to under 18 level. The Junior team plays in the Sligo Leitrim and District League and our youth teams play in The Sligo-Leitrim Youth, School Boys and Girls League and our U8 and U10 players take part in the Futsal programme.



2009/2010 was fairly successful with our Junior team finishing mid table, the U12 boys were unlucky to be beaten in the final, U16 and U18 girls getting to Semi Finals and congratulations to our U14 Girls on winning the League title. We are looking forward to even more success in the years to come.



Most of our players are from the Dromore West and Templeboy area but, we also have some players from surrounding parishes. Players of all ages from all the surrounding area are welcome to join at any time, we especially welcome those who are new to the Dromore West/Templeboy area which has seen substantial population growth in recent years.
